This cold/flu season has been a doozy. It has hit us all at one point or another. Whether your sickness lasted for long or short periods, regardless it has sucked! The weather has a major factor on our physical and mental health. Here are a few tips to stay healthy as the weather and our bodies make the transition from Winter into Spring.
Get out! Whenever you see the warmth of the sun, step outside and bask in it. Not only does it feel amazing, but exposing your body to sunlight aides in the production of Vitamin D which is essential for your body. Vitamin D helps to boost the immune system. So fill that life with some sunshine.
Buzz Buzz Buzz! Their sting may be powerful but their honey packs a whole other punch, throwing it right at your allergies. What?! That’s right. Add a tablespoon of LOCAL honey to your tea, oatmeal or just straight down the hatch during allergy season and it will help those nasty watery/itchy eyes and runny noses. If you don’t like the sweeter side of life, go to your local health food store and grab some straight Bee Pollen. Add it to your smoothies. Yum!
