Dana Al-Suwaidi

After trying many different forms of fitness, Dana took her first yoga class in an attempt to up the ante on her fitness routine. But, it was the healing, nurturing aspects that kept her coming back. Dana found relief from migraines and neck pain, physical acceptance, and emotional balance.
Feeling compelled to share this health and wellness with others, Dana left the corporate world to dedicate her time to helping others and sharing her passion for yoga. Dana is a RYT-200 yoga instructor from Marin Power Yoga.

Laine Ayre – TRX Instructor and KickBoxing Instructor

Laine’s yoga journey began in college in Michigan where finding a hot vinyasa class was an excellent way to beat the snowy winter blues! After graduation, she moved to Phoenix, AZ to teach 7th grade English where she fell in love with Sumits Yoga. Feeling the stress of working two jobs, she needed to calm her mind and balance out her life. With this heated hybrid of Bikram/Vinyasa yoga, she found herself. Being able to look in the mirror with gratitude, love and strength changed her life.

Laine continued to move west in 2013, finding her way in the North Bay. She obtained her Yoga Teacher 200hr Certification in Bali, Indonesia and began regularly practicing at Marin Power Yoga upon her return. Looking for a strength building component for yoga, she found TRX and was hooked! Laine will help you become strong, balanced and filled with LOVE.

Peter Bartesch – Yoga Teacher

My yoga journey began back in 2006 when I took my first class. It was a natural step from my wrestling career in high school and a natural complement to my lifting routine. Through the years, while working as a personal trainer and working to finish my MA in philosophy, I committed with more focus to yoga as a physical discipline and a philosophical system. I am as much in love with the metaphysical ideas of Hinduism as I am with the physical system of Yoga that is designed to address the nature of the mind.
Yoga has helped me not only recover from a back fracture I sustained in 2008, but it has done so much more to my physical being beyond healing my back pain. Connecting breath with movement is the beauty of yoga asana and why I keep returning back to the mat. I hope to help guide you to feeling the meditative aspects of yoga and not just the physical demands. Look forward to seeing you on the mat! Namaste.

Tiana Baumsteiger – Yoga Teacher

For Tiana, teaching isn’t just a “thing.” It’s her career, her passion, and what she loves to do. She loves to help others by being their teacher, friend, confidant, motivator, healer, and biggest fan! Tiana has a background in dance and Barre—and she brings this body awareness to every class as she guides you through your postures. She is there for you through every asana, and will push you to be the best version of yourself each and every class. We are stronger together!

Araceli Bieber – Yoga Teacher and TRX Instructor

Searching for something to heal the soul and quiet the mind after a family tragedy in 1999, I found solace in yoga. That’s when my practice began. My introduction to yoga was through the Ashtanga practice, which left me with a sense of peace and calm, and a connection to something indescribable. I loved the way it left me feeling and continued to practice religiously. I was immediately drawn to the playful sense of self-discovery that encouraged me to want more from myself…an inner revolution of sorts.

A few years later Bikram yoga became my next refuge after the painful loss of a sibling. Feeling protected, supported and inspired, my dedication to the practice quickly grew deeper. Through my practice I have grown to have a better relationship with my body and self. I am continually reminded to lead life with my heart, and to always keep it open. To be open to new experiences, no matter how daunting some may seem.

With the encouragement from friends and family, and the inspiration of my fellow students, I embarked on the next chapter of my yoga journey by attending a Baron Baptiste training, which has deeply enriched my love and passion for yoga. I continue to be inspired as both teacher and student, in search of those inexplicable “aha!” moments that we all enjoy. I never dreamed I would become a yoga teacher and had I let my fears hold me back, rather than follow my heart, I would not be doing what I love…

Jenny Garanina – TRX and Kick Boxing Instructor

Fitness has always been a big part of Jenny’s life. Growing up a competitive swimmer and water polo player made her crave physical challenges. However, she couldn’t find anything that challenged her and pushed her both mentally and physically until she found spin. Jenny believes in a holistic approach to fitness where its not only about the physical part of the exercise but about the mental part as well. She wants her students to leave feeling lighter then when they came in and to feel both challenged physically and mentally.

Amy Ginsberg – Yoga and TRX Teacher and Director of Membership

I found yoga three years ago when my family and I moved cross country from Cleveland, Ohio to San Anselmo to open Marin Power Yoga and live the dream! Coming from an exercise background filled with loud music and high intensity moves, yoga opened something new within me. It wasn’t immediate, it came with time. But soon I found a sense of peace and a personal strength that I had never felt before. I also found a community that I always longed for. Most importantly, I gained a feeling of self-empowerment and possibility. This led me to complete a 200 hour teacher training. The training showed me that I could be more than my fears, I could be anything. I realized that before I could be a stand for others, I first needed to be a stand for myself. Never in a million years did I think I’d become a certified yoga instructor nor teach yoga classes. But, I firmly believe I’m exactly where I need to be!

My favorite thing about yoga is building connection; providing a safe space where students feel noticed, challenged, supported, and empowered while having fun at the same time. I create a positive, environment which is welcoming to all levels and set to great playlists that motivate and enliven the practice. I want students to walk out of my class with a smile on their face feeling a bit stronger, a bit sweatier and a bit more zen.

Being of this new mindset that anything is possible, I recently became a TRX certified teacher as well. I have seen first hand how TRX changes people’s lives and bodies. I am super excited to bring this training to the community.

When I’m not at the studio you can find me with a latte in hand or with my kids Alex and Olivia. If I’m not there hopefully I am sitting on my deck in a rocking chair with a good book listening to music or even better hanging out and laughing with my friends and family.

Jamie Ginsberg – Yoga and TRX Teacher

He did his undergraduate work in Communications at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor before moving to the Bay Area in 1994. He met his wife Amy in San Francisco and they moved to Cleveland, Ohio for 10 years where Jamie went to Cleveland State and became a tax and estate planning lawyer.

Natalie Mayo – TRX  and KickBoxing Instructor

Natalie will rock out with you at MPY in both TRX and KickBoxing where her eclectic mix of music will keep you pumped and wanting more!
Nance Leombruno – TRX, BootCamp and TKO Instructor
Sports are a thread through my life. As a young girl growing up in the Netherlands, I played high league competitive sports and track. Later in life I became interested in nutrition and mindfulness. I studied nutrition and started coaching people to create a more healthy life style, including fitness.
I met my (American) husband in my hometown of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and he introduced me to yoga.
Through yoga, meditation and mindfulness came on my path and a mindfulness training followed. I dreamed of becoming a fitness instructor while the birth of my 3 children and a move to England slowed my journey. When we moved to the USA in 2016, MPY came on my path and it felt like coming home.
After I became a TRX certified teacher, doing the MPY fitness teacher training was a logical step for me. I hope that I can bring the joy and the passion that I feel for the work out that I do to the people around me. Working out is more then just sport for me, it’s creating a connection between your mind and your body and between the people around you.

Lynne Solarz – Yoga Teacher

Lynne moved to San Anselmo in the Spring of 2014 and is so glad she found MPY to continue her practice with yoga. She is a recent graduate of MPY first Teacher Training, and is super excited to be given the opportunity to share all she learned and continues to learn about the art of Yoga. When she is not flowing through a vinyasa, she is chasing after her two young boys with her husband.

Josephine Stoddard – Hula Hoop Teacher

Rebecca Taylor – Yoga Teacher

Rebecca loves yoga and all forms of fitness for the internal and external strength they create. She loves teaching yoga to help others find strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and possibility on and off the mat. Rebecca has experimented with many styles of yoga over the last 10 years, but has found a sweaty power yoga flow to be her favorite to practice and share. She completed her RYT 200 at a Baptiste Affiliate in New Orleans, and is excited to have recently moved back home to the Bay Area. When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, she works for an education nonprofit serving high-needs schools around the country.

Erika and Jeff Wright  – TRX and KickBoxing Instructor

Heather Wyville – Graphic Designer

Heather took her first ever yoga class at Marin Power Yoga in January of 2014. After successfully completing the “30 day challenge” she was hooked. She fell in love with the studio, the people and its “come as you are” philosophy. As a person who had never really excelled at anything even remotely physical, she had finally found in yoga a creative and fun way to be active while at the same time calming her over-active mind. She immersed herself in the practice and as she progressed and experienced the ease and change it brought to her life, she felt the need to share this experience with others. In June she completed the yoga teacher training program at MPY. Heather is a reformed introvert so with this she brings her “anything and all is possible” attitude to her classes. Heathers goal is that you leave her class with sweat on you shirt but more importantly a smile on your face.

Heather has a BFA from California Institute of the Arts, is on the San Anselmo Arts Commission and runs a Graphic Design Studio with her husband Don in San Anselmo. Aside from teaching at Marin Power Yoga she is also responsible for some of their snazzy branding visuals. When she is not in the yoga or work studio she is traveling, creating art, gardening, making poor purchases on Ebay and most importantly enjoying life with her family and friends.
