1. What is your full name?
Sandra Johanna Foley
2. What was your favorite activity as a child?
When I was a child, I had more than just one favorite activity – I used to drawing, coloring books and listen radio all time, however, I remember that every time we when out with my mom I always grab a book to read and still I doing it, so I love to read.
3. What job did you have in high school?
Well I didn’t work while I was in high school, I don’t remember having a job, maybe because I grow up in Colombia where we don’t have long summer breaks, so I used to spend my break on my grandma’ house helping her with the chores and learning her recipes.
4. What is your most embarrassing memory?
Well I know don’t recall any specific story or memory, but my husband identified that someone else give complements, in front of a third person, I always get my face red and feel a little shy. I am thankful by the complements but I not sure why I feel shy by them.
5. What is the best vacation you have ever taken?
Five year ago, I traveled to South Asia, I was my first trip by myself so I booked a tour to go for three weeks to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam and to my great surprise I ended meeting my hubby on that trip, find love and moving to San Anselmo!
6. What makes you laugh out loud?
All Disney movies, I can watch them thousand times and always laugh.
7. What accomplishments are you most proud of?
A few, from completed two masters degrees, one in design and other one in adult education at Australia in a language that was not my native language ( Spanish),…
Learned to ride my awesome bike that allow me to get to MPY when I was 34 years old haha completed my first lap to the block during winter while getting my hands were frozen.
But, mainly I am proud of the strong, loving and caring relationship that I have with my family, even when we live in different countries.
8. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Do not let fear gain the battle of reaching a goal.
9. What would you like people to remember about you?
I am not sure… I will think my smile, I tend to be a quiet person, but I always like smile to people and seeing they smile back.
10. Why do you practice at Marin Power Yoga?
You feel the love and dedication of each of the trainers every time that you cross the door, Jenny, Nance, Grace, Araceli, all the MPY team is wonderful and it is always so reenergize at the end of the class, it feels good, not only on my body, but on my soul too.
